Mark was raised in southern Alberta. He attended Lethbridge Community College where he graduated with a Diploma in Business Administration with Honours. He then completed a Bachelor of Management with Distinction from the University of Lethbridge. Mark obtained his Juris Doctor (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Saskatchewan. He has practiced law at Stringam Denecky since 2005 where he is now a Partner of the firm.

While completing his business education, Mark developed and obtained funding for a program to help adults with disabilities to create and start small businesses. He assisted them with business planning, coaching and obtaining financing. During this same time, Mark started and operated two successful businesses of his own which he sold prior to attending law school.

Mark is an active member of his community and church. He has been involved in Scouting and youth leadership for more than 20 years. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children. He attends as much of their various activities and sports as he can fit in. He makes a great spectator, and occasionally steps in to assist with coaching duties. Mark enjoys the outdoors, spending free time cycling, water skiing, snowboarding, camping and hunting. He especially enjoys the time he can do these things with his wife and children.

Mark’s primary practice areas include Family Law matters such as Divorce, Separation and Custody, Corporate/Commercial Law, Wills & Estates, Real Estate, and Personal Injury. He also serves clients in numerous other areas of the law.

As part of the Stringam Denecky LLP team of lawyers, Mark is a member of our Lethbridge and Ft. McMurray practice groups. He serves clients throughout the province. Mark has appeared at every level of Court in the Province of Alberta and in the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
