Joe was born and raised in Medicine Hat.  He earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering (with distinction) from the University of Calgary in 2012, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2016.

Prior to law school, Joe was employed as an Engineer in Training [EIT] with several local engineering firms.  During his time as an EIT, he was regularly included in project management and design projects, as well as in development consultations with stakeholders and the community, with the goal to maintain positive client relationships relative to the work he performed.

Joe was also (and still is) involved with his family’s property development and management business.  His roles within the company have included helping with the maintenance and rental aspects of the business, as well as being a project coordinator/planner for the company’s most recent residential and commercial development projects.

In 2015, Joe worked for Stringam as a summer student and rejoins us as a Student-at-Law in the Stringam Articling Program for the 2016/17 session in Medicine Hat, AB.  In September 2017, Joe was called to the Bar and joined as a lawyer with our Medicine Hat office. Joe’s general practice includes Business, Real Estate, Wills & Estates, and Agriculture.

When not practicing law, Joe enjoys hunting, fishing, trapshooting, and spending time outdoors.  Joe is actively involved with the Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association, and is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
