Anna was born in Red Deer, AB and spent most of her time in Beaumont, AB (a small town outside of Edmonton) before moving for University. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and minored in Business Economics and Law from the University of Alberta in 2011, graduating with distinction. During her time at the U of A, she worked as a Project Coordinator, where she drafted and authored a variety of publications with community leaders and U of A alumni/faculty. She then attended law school at the University of Victoria and received her J.D. in 2015.
In 2014, Anna worked for Stringam Denecky as a summer student and rejoined as a Student-at-Law in the Stringam Denecky Articling Program for the 2015/16 session in Medicine Hat, AB. However, before she started her Articling Program, Anna described a very full and active schedule including some interesting adventures. She spent the fall semester in Victoria at the University of Victoria before heading off for a six-month exchange program at the University of Utrecht, in Utrecht, Netherlands. Her course work at the University of Utrecht included International and European labour law, human rights law, and EU and public international law. She spent her spring break in Morocco, and hiked in the High Atlas mountains then rode a camel in the desert (Erg Chebbi)! Her travels also took her to Amsterdam, Den Haag, the Keukenhof (tulip gardens), Rotterdam, and numerous small towns all over the Netherlands. On her return to Canada she stopped over in Iceland for a week where she went scuba diving in the silfra tectonic fissure among other adventures!
She was recently called to the Bar in September 2016. Anna’s primary practice areas include Civil Litigation, Employment, Family & Divorce, and Business law.
